POQUOSON, Va. (WAVY) – Poquoson police arrested 48-year-old Donald Battle of Poquoson Tuesday after a four-hour standoff. Battle was taken into custody because he has three felony warrants and 33 misdemeanor warrants.
Around 12:30 p.m., police learned Battle was at a residence in the 1100 block of Poquoson Ave. Police confirmed Battle was there, but he refused to communicate with law enforcement or exit the residence.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., Battle was taken into custody.
The three felonies Battle faces are for threats in writing. The 33 misdemeanors he is charged with are violating a protective order, threatening language over public airways and using a computer for harassment. In a statement, Poquoson police said additional charges are pending.
