NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Authorities are investigating a reported armed burglary at Old Dominion University that happened Sunday night.
A gun was discharged during the incident, but no injuries were reported, police say.
The Old Dominion University Police Department says it happened at a housing complex in the 1000 block of 43rd Street near Killam Ave. Officers found that three unidentified people entered the complex and went to the victim’s room, and a shot was fired during the incident.
Police were then notified after the three people, who are considered “persons of interest” at this time, left the scene in a black vehicle. ODU shared photos of both the persons of interest and their vehicle.

- Ensure that all doors, windows, and desks are closed and locked. Do not prop open doors or allow unauthorized persons into secured/locked buildings.
- Immediately report inoperable locks and latches to the appropriate maintenance personnel.
