VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man has died following a shooting early Saturday morning in the 5800 block of Pickering Street.
Police reported the shooting around 2:20 a.m. on Pickering Street, near Lake Edward and Newtown Road. When officers arrived on the scene, police located a man who was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are still working to verify the man’s identity and notify his next of kin at this time.
No further information has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
