Police: Man hurt in Hampton shooting, two suspects wanted

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A man is in the hospital, and police are searching for the suspects in a shooting in Hampton on Tuesday, police said.

Around 11:10 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Adams Circle. They arrived to find a man hurt, with multiple gunshot wounds. Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue crews arrived and deemed the victim’s injuries as non life-threatening.


He was then transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that two unknown suspects forced entry into the residence. After words were exchanged, one of the suspects began shooting toward the victim, subsequently striking the victim, police said.

At this time the motive and circumstance surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
