GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) — A log truck overturned in Gloucester County Thursday afternoon in the area of Lewis B. Puller Memorial Highway.

According to a social media post from the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office at around 2:20 p.m., the westbound lanes at Lewis B. Puller (Route 33) were temporarily closed. All lanes reopened around 9 p.m.

An image provided by the sheriff’s office showed logs dumped onto the roadway, with multiple lane closures.

Motorists were urged to consider alternate routes to avoid this area while crews worked to clear the road.
