NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The woman charged in connection with a stabbing at a Norfolk MOD Pizza was granted bond Thursday morning.

The incident occurred on Sunday, when 45-year-old Catherine Harper and 47-year-old Corey Harper, husband and wife, got into a fight with an employee of the MOD Pizza at the Premium Outlets. Catherine claimed the order was wrong and eventually called her husband over, who then stabbed the employee.

During Catherine’s bond hearing, she was granted a $5,000 personal recognizance bond, as the commonwealth’s attorneys office stated they had no reason to deny her bond. Catherine was also not seen as a flight risk.

10 On Your Side attempted to reach out to Catherine’s family members who were at the hearing, but they said no comment.

While in court, a two-minute store surveillance video was shown, where Catherine could be seen at the counter with her husband. The actual attack was not seen on camera because it was out of view.

During the video of the nearly 20 second scuffle, MOD Pizza employees could be seen running behind the counter, panicked about the attack that had just taken place, which ultimately exposed the victim’s torso.

The victim remains in the hospital for treatment, but is expected to recover.

Catherine’s husband, Corey, currently remains in jail without bond. His bond hearing is set to take place on Monday.
