NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Zoo has shared forthcoming plans for Halloween with a couple of events.

The zoo’s crowd-pleaser, ZooBoo will return this year with costume contests, pumpkin enrichment for the animals, candy stations and more. Eventgoers can be enlightened by educators at the Mad Lab, Enchanted Forest or with a scavenger hunt throughout the zoo.

ZooBoo will take place on Oct. 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The zoo will also offer an adult version of ZooBoo, which will feature a spooky vendor market, haunted train rides, speciality cocktail creations and other wickedly fun activities. It’s only for individuals that are 21 and over.

Adult Night will take place Friday, Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Due to high anticipation, interested individuals are recommended to buy their tickets early.
