NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The impacts of Hurricane Dorian were felt in the Colonial Place neighborhood Friday as major tidal flooding covered roads and even vehicles.

Mayflower Road right off the Lafayette River flooded over completely and water even went over an SUV’s wheels.

Several tree branches fell in the area, including one at the entrance of the neighborhood that appeared to be about 12 feet long.

Flood-prone neighborhoods like the Hague, Ocean View and more are all underwater as well. High tide was cresting right around 4 p.m.
