NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An early morning shooting in Norfolk has left one teenager dead and two others injured.

Police say they were notified around 12:43 a.m. for a shooting in the 1700 block of Thurgood Street.

One victim, a 15-year-old, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. Police had originally said he was an adult, but later clarified he was a teen.

Two other teenagers, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, were transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

No other details are available, but police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip using the P3Tips mobile app.

The shooting comes just days after another 15-year-old was fatally shot in the city. Police are still looking for the shooter in that case.
