NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Great news for taco lovers in Norfolk — District Taco will open its doors on Tuesday, April 23.
District Taco, which started in 2009 as a taco stand in Rosslyn, Virginia, is now known for its authentic Yucatán flavors. There are locations in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and D.C.
The Norfolk opening will be District Taco’s eighth location in Virginia, and will be owned by franchisees Roger and Josephine Weeks. It’s the first of three locations they plan to open in Hampton Roads.
“We were really motivated by the entrepreneurial story behind District Taco,” said Roger Weeks. “We are excited to bring great food and the same sense of community and opportunity to Norfolk that Osiris Hoil brought to D.C. when he founded District Taco.”
“District Taco stood out to us because it stays true to its roots, with simple recipes and fresh ingredients,” said Josephine Weeks. “We are excited to join the District Taco family and to introduce this amazing brand to our community.”
The new location is set to open on April 23 at 2700 Hampton Boulevard.
