NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man is dead after a shooting on Hanson Avenue Monday afternoon, police said.
Norfolk police responded to the 1300 block of Hanson Avenue around 11:55 a.m. A man, later identified as 66-year-old James E. Fortson Jr., was found with life-threatening injuries.
Fortson was then taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No suspect information has been released.
