, Va. (WAVY) – A 16-year-old boy is hurt after an accidental, self-inflicted injury on Wednesday night, police said.
According to officials, officers were dispatched to Bellefield Road around 10:10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. This is near East Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Officers arrived to find a 16-year-old boy suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. The preliminary investigation has determined the gunshot wound was accidentally self-inflicted.
