NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The charges Michael Faulkner faced in connection with a May 2020 homicide case were dismissed on May 17, 2021.
Faulker had been charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm after the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Shelvin D. Alston back on May 30 in the 1100 block of Oaklawn Avenue. It happened around 7:15 p.m., police say.
Faulkner was being held at Norfolk City Jail following his arrest.
There is no additional information at this time why the charges were dismissed.
