NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – June 2024 was the busiest month in history for Norfolk International Airport (ORF). The airport reported an 11.4% increase for the month of June, with 481,441 passengers served.
In June 2023, the passenger count was 432,126.
ORF’s total over the first six months of 2024 has increased by 10.2 percent with 2,296,938 passengers compared to 2,084,108 passengers during the same period last year.
Last month, 4,087,224 pounds of cargo were shipped in and out the airport. That’s a 22% decrease compared to June 2023 cargo numbers.
The numbers referenced include service by Allegiant, American, Breeze, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, Spirit, and United airlines, as well as charter airlines.
All-cargo carriers include Federal Express and UPS.
