NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police say a man died after an early morning shooting Sunday.
It happened 3:45 a.m. in the 800 block of Fremont Street.
Police say the man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. He was identified on Monday as 41-year-old Christopher M. Mercer, of Norfolk.
At this time police do not have a suspect in custody.
