NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk grand jury has indicted Antoine Legrande Jr. on felony drug and gun charges.
Court records show although he was just arrested this month, the alleged offense happened in November of last year. He was arrested on April 15 for failure to appear, and is being held without bond.
If his name sounds familiar, Legrande previously faced charges in connection with a triple homicide on Granby Street, outside Chicho’s Backstage, in March 2022. Two others were injured. Legrande’s murder charges were ultimately set aside in that case after two witnesses failed to report to court. The charges could be brought back up at a later date if new evidence emerges.
According to court records, a hearing was expected to take place Tuesday afternoon to appoint an attorney in Legrande’s drug and gun charges case. We’ll keep you updated.
