NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Reports came in from Norfolk Fire-Rescue that there was an active gas leak on Hampton Boulevard at Lexan. Southbound Hampton Boulevard has reopened to traffic, and one lane northbound will be opened “shortly” as of 6:02 p.m. One northbound lane will remain closed at Lexan Avenue for repairs by Virginia Natural Gas, officials said.
The location is near Larchmont Dental and a Bistro Market.
Fire crews are currently on the scene.
