NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal crash involving two-vehicles on I-64 Sunday night.
According to officials, at approximately 11:07 p.m. at mile marker 250, a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling eastbound on I-64 and was rear-ended by a 2010 Volvo XC60.
Police said the crash caused the Silverado to roll multiple times, eventually landing on its roof.
The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old woman, died at the scene, according to police.
Virginia State Police continue to investigate the crash.
No further details have been released at this time.
