NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A man is facing charges in connection to an alleged past sexual assault of a juvenile in Newport News.
Police said 47-year-old Dennis Layton Kelley Jr. was arrested Thursday and was charged with two counts each taking indecent liberties with a child and aggravated sexual battery.
The alleged incident was reported to police on Oct. 5, 2018. Warrants for Kelley’s arrest were obtained following an investigation, police said.
Kelley was booked at the Newport News City Jail.
