Mobile home fire in Virginia Beach displaces two adults and one child

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Two adults and one child have been displaced after a mobile home fire in the 900 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.

On Saturday night, units from the Virginia Beach Fire Department were dispatched at around 10:45 p.m. to a reported single-story residential fire in the Colony Mobile Home Park.


Upon arrival at approximately 10:50 p.m., crews discovered light smoke from the back of the mobile home.

The fire was contained by 11:15 p.m.

All occupants evacuated the trailer and got out safely due to being alerted by smoke alarms.

Red Cross was contacted and is assisting the family, which consisted of two adults, one child and a dog, with temporary housing.

There were no injuries reported.

Origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation.
