Man stabbed by fellow employee at Planters plant in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was stabbed by a colleague on Wednesday night at the Planters peanut plant in Suffolk.

Police say they responded to the business in the 200 block of Culloden Street around 10:46 p.m. for the reported stabbing and found a victim with a non life-threatening wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say one of the men pulled a retractable utility knife out during a verbal argument and stabbed the victim.

No other details have been provided, and police say the investigation was closed after the victim declined to press charges.
