NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — 39-year-old Quandrell Williams of Smithfield died 10 days after being shot on Sunday, Oct. 15, in Newport News, police said.
Officers were dispatched around 5:40 a.m. to the report of a shooting in the 1000 block of Garden Drive, near 16th Street and Anderson Park, and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but succumbed to his injuries 10 days later.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
