Juveniles charged after bathroom at Rogers A. Smith in York County vandalized

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Two juveniles were identified and charged after a bathroom was vandalized at a boat landing in York County, deputies said.

On Oct. 13, around 5:20 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Rogers A. Smith boat landing at 707 Tide Mill Road after reports of a damaged bathroom. The report came after someone found the bathroom with water running out of the door, the faucet and sink had both been damaged and the paper towel racks had been destroyed.

The estimated repair cost is approximately $2,000. Two juvenile suspects were identified. On Tuesday, the suspects were interviewed, and both are being charged with felony destruction of property. The two suspects are both residents of York County.
