ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle crash at Omera Drive in Isle of Wight County on Saturday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the motorcycle, Zachary T. Ross, was traveling northbound on Route 17, when the driver of an Acura MDX, Susan G. Herrin, pulled out of Omera Drive into the motorcycle’s path.
At approximately 12:25 p.m., Virginia State Police investigated the incident.
Herrin was charged with Failing to Yield the Right-of-Way as a result of the crash.
Ross was transported to Riverside Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
