HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The Hampton Sheriff’s Office is set to host an educational training session on the risks and impact of fentanyl.

Community members can attend the event and receive the same training as Hampton Sheriff’s Office staff.

During the event, a speaker from the Norfolk Community Service Board will discuss trends surrounding the fentanyl crisis and intervention steps to prevent overdose.

The training will take place on Thursday, May 2 at 101 Kings Way in Hampton from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The training will be followed by a Q&A session that will last until noon.
