HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY)– Crews in Hampton responded to a fire Wednesday night.
According to officials, crews were called to the 70 block of Cline Drive at 8:30 p.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke in the garage area of the home that spread into the attic space.
One firefighter was injured during this incident, officials say. The firefighter has a minor injury to an extremity that is non life-threatening.
The cause is undetermined.
