GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) – The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a road rage incident that occurred on Friday.
According to officials, deputies were notified of a vehicle accident that resulted in a physical fight at 9:23 a.m. on the George Washington Memorial Highway, near Stagecoach Market. The sheriff’s office received additional calls that one of the individuals may be in possession of a firearm.
When deputies arrived to the scene, they found one individual with facial injuries that required medical treatment.
An investigation revealed that a road rage incident led to a physical fight between two drivers.
A citizen who observed the fight noticed a firearm on the ground, and secured the gun until law enforcement arrived.
