PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Comedian Tracy Morgan is coming to Rivers Casino Portsmouth in November for a standup show.

It’s scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at 8 p.m. at the casino’s Event Center. Tickets start at $39 and go on sale this Friday, September 13, at 3 p.m. Guests must be 21-plus to attend.

The 55-year-old best known for his longtime work on “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock,” is also expected to visit Charlotte and Ocean City, Maryland, this fall on his tour.

This summer, Morgan talked to People Magazine on the 10th anniversary of the crash that nearly took his life. Morgan was severely injured and in a coma for two weeks after the crash. His mentor James McNair was killed and others in Morgan’s limousine were injured.

Morgan returned to acting a year later, hosting “Saturday Night Live,” where he was a cast member from 1996 to 2003. He just recently released a new standup special on Max called “Takin’ It Too Far” in August 2023, and he has a new comedy series called “Crutch” coming out on Paramount+.

You can buy tickets for the show on Rivers Casino’s website.
