CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake police are investigating a shooting that sent a boy to the hospital.
Monday, around 7:16 p.m., officers were called to the parking lot of 3302 S. Military Highway for reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a boy who had been shot by another juvenile.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the shooting was accidental but are still investigating.
