Arrest made in I-664 road rage shooting in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a road rage incident on Interstate 664 at the Pughsville Road off-ramp in Chesapeake.

At approximately 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene of an interstate shooting.


Police said two vehicles traveling northbound on Interstate 664 were involved in a road rage incident that resulted in a shooting. A woman received an injury that was not life-threatening.

Jordan Kendrell Copeland was charged with aggravated malicious wounding and shooting at an occupied vehicle.

The suspect was taken to the Chesapeake City Jail and received no bond.
