CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake Police arrested a suspect in connection to a hit-and-run accident on Friday morning.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a report in reference to the crash on North Battlefield Boulevard near Woodlake Drive.
The victim remained at the scene and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, however, left the scene before officers arrived. The driver was later located and arrested.
The incident is an active investigation.
