ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal golf cart crash in Accomack County.
Around 12:07 p.m. Sunday, dispatch received a call about a deceased man underneath a golf cart at the 35000 block of Robin Lane in Horntown.
An investigation revealed the driver, later identified as 54-year-old Robert Jude Vandornick Jr, was in his backyard going up a hill in a golf cart when he drove over an embankment. Shortly afterwards, the golf cart overturned, landing on top of Vandornick.
Police said Vandornick died from his injuries at the scene.
