YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Five gang members have now pleaded guilty after a woman was abducted in Richmond and murdered in York County back in 2023.
The Department of Justice announced Thursday that Hezekiah Carney, of Norfolk; Jamica Langley, of Richmond; Donnisha Goodman, of Portsmouth; and Acacia Jackson, of New York; and Resident resident Jayquan Jones all pleaded guilty to federal charges in the case. All were linked to the Black P. Stone Nation gang.
Carney, Goodman, and Jones pleaded guilty to using a firearm causing death, and now face a minimum of 35 years in prison and up to 45 years in prison as part of their plea agreement.
Jackson and Langley pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and now face up to life in prison.
The charges all stem from the murder of Ty’osha Mitchell, who was found dead on Old Williamsburg Road in York County on May 6, 2023.
Mitchell was shot eight times, and shell casings with an “S&B” headstamp at the scene were linked to the suspects.
