CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — Five people were arrested Thursday after a drug enforcement operation in Currituck County.

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office says the five were arrested in the Harbinger area of the county.

These are the suspects and their charges:

  • Brittany Strawhand: trafficking methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for sale of controlled substances
  • Kailey Nagle: possession with intent to sell or deliver fentanyl
  • Amanda Surles: four counts of trafficking methamphetamine, conspiracy and maintaining a vehicle for sale of controlled substances
  • Elton Hays III: conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
  • Steven Miles: trafficking methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle for sale of controlled substances
  • Brittany Strawhand
  • Kailey Nagle
  • Amanda Surles
  • Elton Hays
  • Steven Miles

Deputies didn’t share additional details, but said “this joint effort has yielded yet another positive outcome for our community.”
