11-year-old girl hit by a car in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An 11-year-old girl is in the hospital after being hit by a car in Norfolk on Nov. 23, police said.

Around 5:10 p.m., Norfolk police responded to the 2700 block of Tidewater Drive for the report of an accident involving a pedestrian.

Police arrived to find an 11-year-old girl had been hit by a car.

The juvenile was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation determined that the juvenile had entered the roadway and was hit by the vehicle.

The driver remained at the scene.
