Early bird, VIP tickets sold out for ‘Something in the Water’ fest

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Early bird and VIP tickets for Pharrell Williams’ highly anticipated “Something in the Water” festival have sold out.

The hype for “Something in the Water” was kicked into high gear last weekend when Pharrell tweeted a video announcing the lineup.

Prices for a three-day general admission pass started with early-bird package of $150 and $175, with additional fees of $45 and $47.22, respectively.

Three-day VIP passes will cost between $450 and $500, with fees of $94.44 and $100, respectively.

A $195 general admission package — with fee of $49.44 — was added after ticket sales went live, while the $150 and $175 were removed.

Festival officials announced on Twitter shortly after 1 p.m. that early bird tickets and VIP passes were sold out.

The festival, which is set for April 26-28, will feature more than 25 national acts including Pharrell and Friends and Virginia natives Missy Elliott, Pusha T, D.R.A.M. and Dave Matthews Band.

The festival’s website shows Pharrell and Friends will feature guests including Diddy, Missy Elliot, Usher, Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg, according to the festival’s website.

The festival’s main acts will perform on the 5th Street Stage. A preliminary map was revealed this week, showing the vast layout of the festival.

“When the idea of just an event in general was first discussed, there was a lot of hesidency, I think now that we see the lineup, but more importantly, the professional group that is putting this on, I think everybody is very excited and very optimistic,” said Atlantic Ave. Association President George Kotaridies.  “This is a huge event that’s going to be transformative.”

Events at “Something in the Water” will include a pop-up church, karaoke featuring trap music and a screening of the film “The Burial of Kojo”, which is set to premiere on Netflix March 31.
