HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was seriously hurt in a stabbing Tuesday morning in Hampton, police say.

It happened just before 7 a.m. in the 100 block of Doolittle Road, just off Mercury Blvd. The woman was found at the scene with stab wounds that are life-threatening, police say, and was taken to the hospital.

The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Nina Markara Cooks, a Hampton woman. Cooks currently has a warrant on file for one count of Malicious wounding. No photo has been released at this time, but the stabbing does appear to be domestic-related, police say.
