Dispatch said officers responded to the 2220 block of Pulaski Street, off Deep Creek Boulevard near Mt. Calvary Cemetery, around 2:21 a.m. for the shooting.

When they got to the scene, officers found the 36-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Police say the suspect was identified as the woman’s 39-year-old husband who fled the scene before police arrived. He was later found dead an hour later near the 1700 block of Piedmont Avenue.

Details are still limited, however, police say the husband appeared to have taken his own life.
