VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Beach Police Department arrested Jerome London El in connection to dozens of retail larcenies committed this year.

Authorities arrested London El Sept. 12 using Flock License Plate Reader Technology.

VBDP detectives were able to identify London El and connect him to 32 larcenies, which spanned from May 25 to Sept. 11 of this year.

He is accused of stealing over $25,000 in merchandise in Virginia Beach alone.

London El was taken to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center on 13 warrants out of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Norfolk.

London El is charged with six felony counts of stolen property with intent to sell, six felony counts of grand larceny, one felony count of possession of a schedule I or II substance, two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny and one misdemeanor count of simple assault, according to police.
