SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Suffolk Police Department responded to a shooting on Green Ash Court early Tuesday morning.

According to officials, officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Green Ash Court around 12:20 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

Officers arrived to the scene and found a 42-year-old male suffering from two gunshot wounds, according to Suffolk Fire & Rescue who also responded to the scene. The victim was transferred to a local hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries, police said.

The incident remains under investigation and no further information has been provided.
