SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were shot in an early morning shooting in Suffolk Tuesday.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of Nansemond Parkway just after midnight for the report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 39-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was treated on scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue and later taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries

Police were notified by Sentara Obici Hospital at 12:26 a.m. where another 39-year-old male walked into the emergency room with a wound not believed to be life threatening.

After investigating, it was revealed the incident location for both victims is in the 1000 block of Nansemond Parkway.

The investigation remains ongoing.
