PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man has died after a shooting early Thursday morning in Portsmouth.
According to police, officers were called to the 1900 of Talley Circle at 1:44 a.m., and they found a man, identified as 25-year-old Quashawn D. Perry, with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to the local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
This is an active homicide investigation, and on July 24 said they were searching for a person of interest in the case. They have since spoken with that individual and said he is no longer wanted for questioning.
