VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man has been sentenced in connection with a fatal crash in December of 2021.
According to officials, on Dec. 28, 2021, officers were notified of a vehicle crash at the intersection of Rosemont Road and Bow Creek Boulevard.
The crash, which resulted in the death of Barbara Messenger, was determined to be caused by speeding. Then 21-year-old Zachariah Moore was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Moore was sentenced to five years in prison.
