DOBSON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Dobson man was arrested earlier this month and faces dozens of sexual exploitation charges, according to a Surry County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Josh Adam Faux, 50, of Dobson, was arrested on Feb. 7 on 36 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after the SCSO Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force got a cybertip.
He was arrested during a traffic stop on NC Highway 268.
That same day, detectives and agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Computer Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Faux’s home on Siloam Road.
Further evidence was found during the search warrant, and Faux was charged with an additional 35 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Faux was given a $1,288,000 secured bond.
