GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) – The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a road rage incident on George Washington Memorial Highway.
According to officials, on Aug. 23 around 8:40 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of George Washington Memorial Highway and Davenport Road for reports of a road rage incident.
An investigation revealed the victim’s vehicle was struck by a white Chevrolet Suburban with North Carolina tags. The victim told police they followed the driver of the Suburban after they fled the scene.
Shortly afterwards, the driver of the Suburban, described as a white male, brandished his firearm out of the window of the vehicle. The suspect then fired the firearm multiple times into the air, deputies said.
No injuries were reported.
