NORFOLK, Va.(WAVY)– Multiple people are displaced following a fire in Norfolk Thursday morning.

According to officials, Norfolk Fire-Rescue crews were called to the 6100 block of Myrtle Park at 2:31 a.m. for the report of a house fire. When crews arrived, they found fire coming from the front of the house.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire on the outside and the minor fire that entered inside on the second floor. 

The fire was marked under control at 2:46 a.m.

Five people and two dogs will be displaced and assisted by the Red Cross.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
