UPDATE (Jan. 29, 2019): Charges including including malicious wounding and firing into a dwelling against Decarlos Douglas were withdrawn or nolle prossed.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A 19-year-old young man has been arrested in a shooting police say left a 10- and 16-year-old injured in Newport News.
Police say Decarlos Douglas faces several charges, including malicious wounding and firing into a dwelling. He’s in jail without bond.
Douglas is charged for an incident that happened Friday night. A 10-year-old boy who was standing inside of his home on Roanoke Avenue at the time was by with a stray bullet.
Police said the 10-year-old was not the intended target.
Moments later, police responded to Ridley Circle where a 16-year-old boy had been shot in the finger. Both victims were taken to the hospital where they are expected to be OK.
