Arrest made after fatal stabbing in Norview section of Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk police say they’ve made an arrest following a fatal stabbing on Faraday Court in the Norview section of the city.

28-year-old James Joseph Webb was pronounced dead at the scene from a stab wound in the 6400 block of Faraday Court shortly after 3 p.m.

Police say they’ve arrested 53-year-old James H. Jones in connection with the fatal stabbing.

Jones has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

10 On Your Side spoke with a neighbor and witness, Sharon Bryant, who says there were about six police cars in front of her home.

“I come out my house and all I seen was the police out here and tape out here.”

Neighbors say it appears the two got into a screaming argument before the stabbing.

“Everyone is grown so we should all get along,” said Bryant. “It is sad, I prayed for them last night.”
