14-year-old Cassidy Keitt discusses racing career, impressions of first Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Daytona International Speedway is full of NASCAR’s brightest stars, but also some of the stars of tomorrow. 

14-year-old Cassidy Keitt is a driver with Rev Racing in NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program and is already starting to make waves as a youngster whose got all the natural talent a team could want. It makes sense, racing is in her blood.


Her grandfather was a driver, as well as her great-grandfather. Her uncle, Ryan Sparks, also serves as crew chief for #7 driver Corey LaJoie. 

Cassidy and her father Justin joined us on Queen City News Now to talk about her racing career and her impressions of her first Daytona 500 — a track she hopes to race at someday as a driver of the Cup Series.
