PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Fresh out of 18 months of dry dock, WAVY-TV met up with the crew on board USS Ross (DDG 71), an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer.
More than 250 sailors are credited by their own commanding officer for being the very driving force that makes USS Ross stand out.
Commander Vincent Simmon Jr. said this is the crew that makes everything happen and he saluted the teamwork, tenacity and grit, that he says, really makes the ship the best.
